Dr. Amanda N. Hale is a residency-trained optometrist and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Owner of the Eye Care Center since 2011, Dr. Hale is dedicated to providing the highest quality eyecare in an attentive and patient-focused practice. A native of Virginia, she received a Bachelor of Arts from Randolph-Macon College in Biology and Chemistry, then earned her doctorate of optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2004. During school she had the opportunity to train in the Veterans Affairs clinic in Leeds, MA, the University of Maryland Baltimore Ophthalmology department and the Indian Health Services of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She completed a postdoctoral residency at the Southern VA Healthcare System in Tucson, Arizona focused on ocular disease and low vision rehabilitation.
